PrusaConnect - Intermittent 'printer offline' with MK4 stock
My MK4 keeps switching between proper telemetry and 'Printer Offline' in PrusaConnect. It keeps proper telemetry for about 20 seconds, then goes 'offline' for 10 seconds, then repeats. There doesn't seem to be much variation in this timing. When it comes back online there don't seem to be any gaps in the telemetry data.
I am running firmware 4.7.1 on the MK4 and using the normal web interface for PrusaConnect.
PrusaLink seems to keep a stable connection to the printer on local wifi the whole time.
RE: PrusaConnect - Intermittent 'printer offline' with MK4 stock
Hi, this might be due to stability issues with Connect or the internet connection stability. So far, no-one from the MK4 team is watching the forum, so if you want an official response, please contact the customer support. MK3 connection does the same sometimes, it was even beeping hen this was happening (very annoying) Is this so common it interferes with regular use?
RE: PrusaConnect - Intermittent 'printer offline' with MK4 stock
Mine worked great for several days on my MK4, then, it would randomly go off line on the PC, yet still showing fine on the printer. Now, I'm not able to get Prusa Connect to see or get my printer to say online at all. So for now I'm back to loading files to the stick. Not a huge deal, loss of cool factor and easy. My biggest fear is that stick it came with. You nearly need a pry bar to pull it out and insert it. That stick is like that on every USB port or bank I've tried it in. Bugger is just TIGHT.
Gonna try to figure out how to format another stick as this one makes me nervous. But as to the Prusa Connect, I'm not tech savvy at all. Tried to reset the printer, power down and back on, restarted the router that is about 13" away from the printer. Closed out connect restarted pc, and still just says offline but printer shows it's online. Like I said, being Im far from a Tech guy it is what it is, if it comes back to working at some point, that's great. Until then..well,,just like I did on my MK3. Not gonna kill me.
