One of printers spontaniously goes into ERR: NO IP after a while
  • PrusaLink - Zero 2 W
  • PrusaLink version - 0.6.0
  • Original Prusa i3 MK3S
  • 17c80c4e-a726-417b-9b76-9acbd6c188e6
  • 3.10.1-4697

Started noticing right after setting up prusaLink & Prusa Connect together, that one of the printers sometimes goes offline with LCD showing ERR: NO IP, even while during the print ( it still continues printing when goes offline ). It happened a few times spontaneously while other printers are still connected to this day. They are side by side, with the same distance from WIFI/Router. There is also no detailed log to understand its last communication between all devices to identify the cultprint.

RE:

Hi, the problem with detailed logs is they take up space, so I log only interesting events in any meaningful detail. You can see in the daemon log from the settings tab in the PrusaLink local web that some events write out what is each thread doing with a hundred debug message before and after the event. I might put a trigger for the pi going offline, but I don't think i can trigger that from within my code. I think it's just your Pi's congesting it. Many people in the office use an Ethernet microusb dongle or a full sized pi, so you can try those. Safe to say our IT department wasn't particularly jazzed when we connected our testing rPis on the wi-fi 😀
