Core One Buddy Camera Forgets Network Data
Hi I just set up the buddy camera for my Core One. I power the printer off when not in use and when I do the camera forgets the network data and has to be reconnected each time with a QR code.
Using firmware v3.0.4
Is this a bug or a feature?
RE:
Assuming the camera is still powered, it stops taking snapshots when the printer is OFF. After you turn the printer on, the camera will automatically resume taking snapshots every 10-11 seconds.

RE: Core One Buddy Camera Forgets Network Data
The camera is powered by the printer, so if I power off the printer the camera powers off too.
When I power the printer back on the camera doesn't reconnect to my wifi network, I need to rescan the QR code. I assume from your answer that this is not the intended behaviour.
RE:
Sorry, I didn’t notice that you’re using it on a CoreOne; mine is on a MK4S. It’s basically the same camera in a different housing, except that on a MK4S it has to be powered separately. Just a suggestion, but you might try powering the camera from a separate supply, at least temporarily, and see what happens when you turn the printer on & off.
My camera automatically reconnects after power cycling either the printer alone, the camera, or both, so that’s what yours *should* do. It is v3.0.4.

RE: Core One Buddy Camera Forgets Network Data
I experienced the same reconnect problem. Exchanged email with support. They finally sent me a replacement camera. The replacement has the same “failure to reconnect” problem. Very frustrating. After playing around with the problem I finally gave up and I am installing an Octopi camera setup instead.
RE: Core One Buddy Camera Forgets Network Data
Just setup my camera which came with an assembled Core One, it also forgets the network after a power off.
Firmware Version 3.0.4
NB. I also had trouble with a $ in the password, had to setup a separate network for it with a different password.
