BuddyCam no livestream??
Is there no livestream on that Cam?? RTSP, MPEG or what ever?
Don´t need a stream to Prusa Connect, but would like to see it live over WiFi without Cloud connection.
Many other cams have a URL to grap the stream. Can´t find it anywhere for this cam.
e.g.: rtsp://192.168.178.37:556/h264Preview_01_sub
Nothing like this for BuddyCam??? Come on Prusa!
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
I'd be happy with a way to download JPEG images: preferably directly from the camera, but via API from Prusa Connect would be okay, too.

RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
+1 from me for the rtsp stream. this would make it handy to monitor multiple printers in parallel
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
+1 from everyone that bought it...
RE: BuddyCam kein Livestream??
I think that's a bit much to ask for the price. The patent history must not be left out. Why should you expect live monitoring for such a cheap device that runs faultlessly and is used incorrectly by every second customer?
I've already been banned from chats because of the volume of the printer. our neighbours are always complaining about the loud noise it makes.
JOKE
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
It isn't a bit much to ask because Prusa said the upgrades would be delivered in updates and it has not happened yet.

JOKE
I hope that the word "JOKE" goes for that statement of yours.... since for that price livestream is the minimum we should be expecting... way cheaper chinese cameras (which this is) have livestream.
Really, i'm wa dissapointed with this camera. If i'd known i never bought it. I've had to install my own camera inside for live image, since even snapshots can't be imported in home assistant (where i'm monitoring my prints).
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
It took 4 months to get the printer from when I was billed and paid for it. No less than a month later from when they said it would ship. I suspect the Q2 roadmap will be at least a month late as well (as we are in Q3 already). Lets hope it is only a month and not a full quarter. ☹️
RE:
My Core1 Cam updated to firmware 3.1.0 and I noticed in the Prusa App that there are now RTSP settings.
1. Open the Prusa App, click on the printer and then the Camera tab
2. Tap the camera to open it
3. Enable "RTSP stream on local network"
Browse to address: rtps:///live.
When I open that I get a live stream! (On my Mac the "rtsp" protocol opened VLC and I can view the stream using that - you may need an app for opening that URL)
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
I tried this but I could not get it to work outside of the app 🙁
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
Did you try it with VLC-Player.
With vlc, you can open a network stream.
The adress is rtsp://XXX.XXX.X.XXX:554/live
The Xxx.xxx.x.xxx ist the ip of the camera and of course the camera and the computer (which runs vlc) have to be in the same local network.
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
Ya I didn’t notice that I was on 5ghz and should have been 2.4
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
If you have Synology NAS, so you can add your BuddyCam to Synology Surveillance Station.
Than you can have stream in your smartpohone or in browser.
RE: BuddyCam no livestream??
Hate to see but also glad to see Im not the only one have a tough go with Buddy. Got it working but on iPhone for live stream have to go to camera tab then the setup tab in corner of screen shot then push play. ON Mac I have yet to figure out how to get it to "live stream". Why isn't live streaming the default? I should be able to click on camera in Connect and immediate start a live feed. Come on. Hate to say it, my Creality V3 Plus with their nebula camera works better then this.
