Buddy3D only displaying a monochromatic image.

I have 3 Buddy3D cameras, one assigned to each of my Prusa Mini, Prusa MK3S+ and Prusa XL.  All added to PrusaConnect but the camera assigned to the MK3S+ is exhibiting strange behavior differing from the other 2 cameras.

  1. I am not getting the camera preview when I load the PrusaConnect main page.
  2. The camera assigned to the MK3S is in night vision / monochrome and will not capture / display a color image when under normal lighting.

Search has not turned up an info.  Going to give it a day or 2 before hitting up support in case someone has seen this and has a resolution.

Had that for a day or two, but after a restart in bright light it showed color again

It should show colour in any light apart from pitch black.

RE: Buddy3D only displaying a monochromatic image.

Got the same. At first with all lights on in the enclosure it shows in color but after the ledstrip goes in dim mode, the camera switching to mono (black and white) view. And there is still enough light in the room itself (well, i think for the camera). Hope this can be solved somehow. Also hoping the continues stream option and making a timelaps option will be available soon.

I had a similar issue, resolved by pointing it directly at an LED light, heard an audible "tick" from the camera, the next picture was in color. Since replacing the camera back in position looking at the print bed, it has remained in color mode. This makes me think the lighting threshold to trigger from grayscale "night mode" to color "day mode" is just set too high for typical printing environments. Not sure if this is adjustable.

RE: Buddy3D only displaying a monochromatic image.

Hello, the camera installation instructions on the last page say: "The camera image being black&white issue will be fixed in an upcoming camera firmware release."

Greetings
