Buddy3D Camera Firmware 3.1.0

Hi

I see my Buddy Camera (not the core one camera)  updated to version 3.1.0 , any one have ideas on what was updated. I checked the change logs here : https://prusaconnect.sleekplan.app/changelog?type=t674d9c2d47e2d , but the latest updates mentioned there was only up to 3.0.4

Cheerio

A port scan did not show any open ports,
How can we access the stream over the same local network?

Well, I think we still have to wait some more days… The last line of the changelog says:

„A new version of Prusa.app will be released in the next few days!“

RE:

How interesting , now the change log link is showing the updates you listed , when my camera updated and I checked the logs there was nothing.

Now yes this will be interesting to see how we can control the camera and get live streaming and not send it to the cloud.
I guess the phone app and / or prusa slicer will need an update ---> A new version of Prusa.app will be released in the next few days! -> last line in the changelog?

RE: Buddy3D Camera Firmware 3.1.0

Just updated to 3.1.0

The image is great, even under low light conditions, which for the old firmware, meant a grainy black and white image.

Hopefully the new app will be out soon so I can try the movement and other improvements under this firmware.

I have had the BuddyRC camera in the box, in the cupboard, since purchasing 6 mths ago. It should never have been released under the previous firmware as it had too many issues ....at least now things may be looking up.

I own 3 buddy3d cam, two with motors and one in my core one.

Was funny Today when they all decided to update to 3.1 and announced it via audio.

I would love to get the local api accessable so that I could add it to my home automation.

What I like is the picture quality of the cams.

Looking forward to get the new features ASAP.

is there anyway to see what version you have, especially if you’re not physically at the printer?

Can the firmware be updated manually?   Mine didn't update, it's been online for several hours in the 9am-9pm window mentioned earlier in the thread.

I can't seem to find release notes or the firmware download page.

The Prusa Connect Website shows the version on the Camera Tab just under the image.  I don't see it in the iOS app.  Just the website interface.

yes there is. you can see the firmware version in the camera tab of prusa connect. its listed all the way down on the right side under "other cameras".

I've also noticed quite an improvement in picture quality and im hyped for the functions mentioned in the changelog. thanks for posting it - I couldnt find it anywhere but here. Finally the awaited update is here! One more update to wait for and we get what was promised a while ago!

It is a 36 hour window. After July 1 9PM Central European Time, then it will be time to try manual update.

Hey, on ios i was able to update the Prusa App.
I also see some more options, like enabling the stream for the local network. Unfortunately I'm not able to set the new options. Can't figure out why.

RE: Buddy3D Camera Firmware 3.1.0

Under the old firmware, mine was monochrome most of the time, even in a well lit room.
On 3.1.0, it is colour 99% of the time. It goes to monochrome infrequently on Auto mode, but that is generally when the print haed / part fan is closest to the camera so I suspect this dulls things a little.

In Texas USA, My 2 Cameras updated simultaneously at 4PM CET. Android based Prusa phone app updated this morning also. I had to reboot the camera after the update to get color mode active. Reboot of camera is part of the App's camera settings now. Needs some light for Color.

I tried resetting my cam. Is it a successful reset, when the cam wants to scan a qr code? I tried pressing the button 1 sec, 3 sec, 7 sec. Always just scanning the qr code. Of course after deleting it from connect.

But still no possibility to activate the new features. Also where do you have the possibility to change the mode? Day, Night, Auto?

Someone already managed to get RTSP working? I enabled it in the Prusa app. But can't access it via RTSP. Is it a specific port?
