extruder slipped when enclosure is closed

Hi all,

When printing PETG with enclosure closed for keeping printer quieter, the extruder is skipping step, this is resolve quickly by opening doors and heat getting out.

Sorry I didn't look at the temperature ...

Anyone had this issue ?  If not, what is your enclosure temperature when printing PETG with doors closed ?

RE: extruder slipped when enclosure is closed

In your showing off image I saw a thermometer?

Anyway, when I print I keep the door of enclosure open a bit. Temp is about 25-30 degrees Celsius.

It could be that the PETG starts slipping because of the temp.  I would check the adjustment of the tension of the extruder gears.

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.

By chance was this slipping filament Prusament PETG Orange? I had the same problem once with this filament, not with other PETGs from Prusa or eSun, which are the most common ones I use. Since then I leave the doors of the enclosure a bit open when printing PETG. The temp inside the enclosure is around 30 °C with the doors opened a bit. I use this part to keep the doors in this position: https://www.printables.com/de/model/436274-enclosure-door-blocker
