Y-axis failure
Hi,
I got a semi assembled mini+. During calibration, the Y-axis kept failing. X and Z are good. It doesnt move at all. i have also opened up the box at the back to make sure there are no tangled wires. The connection screws are tight. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the belt if it's not too loose or too tight. Also check pulley T16-2GT if it's in correct position and tight screw (do not over tighten or it will strip the thread). Try move the bed back and forward to see if it's smoothly.
I had my Y axis failed on my first test and it turned out the belt was bit too loose. So, I tighten it to reasonable tight and it passed the test.

Just assembled my Mini yesterday and had the same issue. During the calibration wizard, when it was running the Y back and forth at various feedrates, I heard what sounded like the belt slipping. Afterwards, I tightened the idler a little bit more and ran the calibration wizard again. This time the Y belt did not slip, and I noticed it ran a few more passes at even higher feedrates that I assume it chose to skip after it detected the belt slip during the previous calibration.
