Need help with gaps

Hello, I'm new to printing. Kids are loving it.

I've been fighting a lot of issues with the print not sticking. Sometime I get it and sometimes I don't. I've cleaned the bed 100 times, I've ran the first layer calibration about a thousand times. And I have bumped the temp from 60 to 63.

Now I'm having another issue. Or maybe this is the way it's supposed to be for this print.

The edges seem to ruffle and not stick but if I let it keep going it seems to work itself out. I'm just not sure what to change. I've googled a lot of stuff, but I'm probably not using the correct terms.

Any pointers are greatly appreciated!

I do not think you are low enough or you under  extrusion.

Understated filament colours 🙂  I approve, keep it fun.

Your first layer is off. If you're having trouble with the built-in caibration, read this, it's by a regular poster here:

If this doesn't help, come back and ask again.

Cheerio,

That helps a ton. I thought it was weird how some prints stick and some don't. I set the nozzle much lower. Well, I don't know if it is a lot or not...

That test print from that post stuck. I mean REALLY stuck. But it looks like I may not be level. One corner stuck and made a real nice thin solid layer, then as it went to the other side the lines had gaps and it didn't stick very well. I'm running through all the calibration stuff I can find in the menu now.
