First layer issue
Pics of first layer show some lumps/bumps in the middle of the print.
They are still viable and have a slight texture to them by the 2nd layer.
3d fillies pla at 205 degrees. 2nd layer on at 200.
Anything to be worried about?
Thoughts on improving the first layer?
Respect the fact everyone is entitled to have an opinion, you dont have to like it or hate it, just accept its theirs and not yours and you will be ok!
RE: First layer issue
That layer looks pretty good. Some spots are lower than others and when the nozzle goes too low, it causes the bumps. I would be happy with that.
RE: First layer issue
It should be caused by being Live-Z to low and when filament is squished too much excess amount is pushed out of the way and is building up elsewhere. You can try to calibrate it with something like 30x30mm square that is 0.2mm tall, if you get these lumps, change the Live-Z value in settings and reprint. You can also change the value mid-print, let it print half of the square and when you see that its not flat, change live-z for secound half of the print to see the difference. It also speeds up the process. You can jump in increment like 0.050 and when you are getting into right numbers, you can go slower.
RE: First layer issue
I finally finished assembling my first Prusa i3 MK3S and I can only say that it prints in an exceptional way !! however I have only two defects that I would like to solve to have the highest quality, I print in 3D with PLA Prusa and read in PEI smooth steel sweet. you can see pictures of the two problems encountered.

@francescoktm
first, you have to solve first layer. As I mentioned above, you have to calibrate first layer to be squirshed nice and smooth. From the pictures, it seems your live-z is too high and printer is not laying filament in the right way.
RE: First layer issue
@juril95
but I have already performed the calibration of the first Z layer, and I even pushed the machine almost to touch the surface but things do not change, (I was almost at 0.940 !!!!) it seems as if in the first layer the printer extrudes little filament . But for the second problem? it trots only one or two neighboring layers, then subsequently it does not present other layers with problems.
RE: First layer issue
@francescoktm
Do you literally mean 0.940? If so, you are going UP (away from the bed) not down.. it should be a - (Minus) number.
You will be amazed how close the nozzle is to the bed on the first layer.. It looks like you are WAY to high.. Printing in thin air.. And if your Z really is +0.940 thats exactly why you are having this issue.
Go the other way.. Towards 0 and then beyond and see how it goes.
RE: First layer issue
@jweaver
no no sorry, I wanted to mean -0.9 etc!
and for that only wrong layer, what can it be?
RE: First layer issue
Number are subjective, on one machine I have -0.740 live-z and on the other -1.050. I t can differ from machine to machine. Main value in this case is appearence. These photos are not mine, but you can see from them the difference. Difference in first layer of your and this Benchy, but also how top part of first layer should look.
RE: First layer issue
I dont have the mini yet, but i often (not always) get the same first layer when using prusaslicer on my flsun qq-s as well on the tevo nereus.
It got alot better when i decreased the firstlayer extrusion rate in PS from 200% to 130%.
It feels like very coarse sandpaper, and only in some spots, perhaps where extrusion stops and goes into wipe/coast before changing direction?
I dont get the same result when using cura as slicer. So might not be all hardware issue but perhaps a combo.

Thats very odd.. I have been using a MK3 for a couple of years (and a PrintrBot for many years before that) and had no such problem.
If printing on a smooth bed, the first layer should literally be smooth like glass.. And if printed on the Textured sheet, it should be an exact copy of the sheet with no evidence of any "lines".. It should be a seamless flat, texture surface....
If the first layer is not like this, something is wrong....
