Filament curling on nozzle, not sticking to bed and ruining the entire print
Hi guys, I just got my prusa mini 3d printer last week, so far all calibrations done and i was looking to solve the stringing issues. While doing that, the printer starts to come up with another set of problem, which is that the filament tends to curl up right after extruded from nozzle (i observed this during print of the firsts layer), with the curling the first layer is distorted and ruins the whole print. I have tried the Prusa method of cleaning the nozzle through cold pulling and also cleaning the nozzle using the provided needle.. However this does not seems to help with the situation. I also tried to use the other side of the printing bed sheet, it helps significantly, however the curling still occurs , just not as bad. Can anyone kindly advise how i can further troubleshoot this?
RE: Filament curling on nozzle, not sticking to bed and ruining the entire print
The purge line and outer boundary line should get rid of it, but I often let it do the bed level then a couple seconds before it starts it’s print, use edge clippers to snip the curl off.
Clean the print-sheet with dishwashing detergent (Dawn/Fairy) and plenty of HOT water, rinse well and dry with a fresh paper towel. Handle by the edges only.
Then run a first layer Z calibration print and show us the result.
Cheerio,
