Extruder makes a clicking noise when retracting filament
New Mini+, arrived yesterday. It's making an odd clicky noise when the filament retracts. on smooth long runs it's pretty much silent until the filament pulls back. I've tried adjusting tension (both with filament loaded and without). Any advice?

Adjust the idler screw. That should fix it.

@cwbullet
Tried that, no amount of adjusting seems to help.

I have te same problem. I recognize the sound from the video. Clicking only happens when retracting. One week of prints without any hitches and from yesterday this sound. I already cleaned the extruder (no large bits of filament were found, only a bit of filament dust). Screwing around with the idler tension screw seems to have no effect.
I hope that someone wil come up with a possible solution.

According to the support chat it is normal that retracting makes some of these noises (not a grinding sound, just a click when the wheels change direction). I put some grease on the cogweel teeth (the grease that came in the spare parts) and no more clicking noise!
