Brand new to 3D printing, just got my mini yesterday. What can I do better?
I went through the initial calibration, and lowered the print head -.007, I think?

The print head needs to be MUCH lower for the first layer. On my printers, I've had to lower as much as 0.780mm! don't be afraid to touch the line after the head has moved away from it when you are doing the first layer calibration. you need to make sure the line is sticking to the print bed, it's going to be difficult (but not too hard) to remove from the print surface. When you do the first layer calibration, start with it high and lower as you go, don't just jam it down to a lower number and hope it works, for me I've had to do the first layer calibration six or seven times to get it low enough to where it sticks properly.

Agree that the you need to lower the print head.
ook up "Life adjust Z" to see of a better way to do the first layer calibration. Or you can go into Prusaslicer, right click on the bed and create a "box" and adjust the size to something like 50mm x 50mm x 0.2mm and create your own first layer print shape. You'll want to make sure you're print settings are for 0.20 mm Quality and make sure you have the correct filament and printer selected. As it prints, you can go and adjust the Live Z setting. I like to run it at different Z settings for each 25% section of the square and see the differences when it is removed then i'll go back and change the setting again.
