Beginners first print problem question

Hi Guys,

OK, i'm a complete beginner, never had a 3D printer before and i've hit my first 'newbie' question.

I figure it is best to ask you experts rather than spend time guessing and waisting filament.

This is my second print, what caused this ??

I did notice some very small holes (in just a small area) of the first layer ??

Cheers

S

This happend right at the end of the print

RE: Beginners first print problem question

Your nozzle is too far from the bed, the first layer does not stick properly to the bed and releases during print. The small holes you see on your first level is also an indication of this. Redo the first layer calibration and you will soon make success printing. I thought the first level calibration was a bit tricky when I got my first printer, but the learning curve is steep, one soon gets the feeling of what is the correct appearance of first layer.
