3.5 hr print ends in under two minutes. No extrusion.
Hey,
I have two minis - printing the same exact file on both printers. One does as it should.
The other does its initializing/z leveling and then jumps right to print completed and ends the build.
I've re-sliced/saved the gcode to the USB and that didn't help.
Factory reset didn't fix it - while going through the startup wizard the first layer calibration began right where the extruder was positioned in space and didn't travel to the build plate.
Thinking this might be a Pinda issue seeing as after the factory reset it tried to do first layer calibration a few inches off the build plate.
Have read the zip ties on the cable securing the Pinda wires is too tight and can sometimes lead to breakage.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks!!!

Hi, best bet would be chatting with support in online chat. Most probably this really is broken MINDA cable, because several people experienced similar symptoms (probing above buildplate, ending print suddenly). They'll send you new.

Thanks! Will do. Great machine otherwise!

Are the Mini's and MK3 Pinda probes interchangeable?
I spares for the MK3 I could use...

To be honest I am not sure. MINDA is different probe, it does not have thermistor inside, uses 3 wires instead of 4. If that does not stop you from trying to re-wire it and plug anyway to see if it works, please report back, I am curious too.

What Firmware do you have installed?
even an old man can learn new things 🙂
Standard I3 mk3s, MMU2S, Prusa Enclosure, Fusion 360, PrusaSlicer, Windows 10

This was happening to me because the far end of the X axis is much higher up than the end near the electronics. I assume you have this fixed by now, but that's something to look at if not (or for others who find this thread).
I'm going to have to shim between the two units because, despite following assembly order, the X axis is not parallel in both the Z and Y planes.
Additionally, there's a lot of flex to the assembly as a whole. Make sure you have it solidly on a very flat surface, like a piece of 3/4" MDF, a granite offcut/plate, or similar. Most plywood has some twist or bow to it.

You have the same symptoms I did. Just replaced my minda probe (prusa got it to me in two days) and everything is fine again. You could print the new minda probe holder, fan spacer and fan cable clip while waiting for your new minda probe to arrive.

Not necessarily a bad probe, though. I had the same thing happen and it was because my X axis was so out of parallel.
